The Victorian TAFE Association have recently released a Professional
Development CD for TAFE teachers and trainers undertaking the
Certificate lV and Diploma in Vocational Education and Training.
The tool is designed to guide entry level teachers and trainers
and their supervisors through the process of designing a program
to suit their individual needs. It provides a comprehensive range
of information and resources which are easy to browse, search
and print including:
- the complete list of competency standards in Vocational Education
and Training, including the relevant standards from the Assessment
and Workplace Training Package ·
- detailed descriptions of the requisite skills and knowledge for each competency standard
- learning and assessment strategies for implementation in the workplace
- a comprehensive resource list to support the achievement of the competency standard
- the qualifications framework outlining the structure of the Certificate
lv and Diploma of Vocational Education and Training
- a comprehensive range of courses from universities, TAFE Institutes
and other RTOs which have been mapped against the competency
standards and which will assist individuals to either complete
the Certificate lV and Diploma of Vocational Education and
Training or any of the individual standards, as required.
- optional assessment guidelines to assist in the implementation and
assessment of the competency standards.
